KENDALL AND NICK
Location: private property, Moss Vale, NSW
Season: Autumn- April
Feeling: playful, modern, and full of personality, with contemporary native wildflower undertones.
Colour palette: warm, bold and earthy- reds and oranges.
Flowers: The arrangements featured many Australian native wildflowers such as Eucalyptus caesia, Eucalyptus rhodanthe, Eucalyptus macrocarpa, Banksia menziesii, Banksia ericifolia, Banksia coccinea, kangaroo paw, seacrest, tea tree, Hakea victoria, Eucalyptus tetragona, Ptilotus drummondii, and chrysanthemum.
Favorite floral detail: for Kendall and Nick, we built a giant “nest” for them to stand in as they said their vows — made from dried wattle, native grasses, and other Australian plants. The idea was for it to feel like it had grew and was woven straight from the field. Kendall chose a simple but striking bouquet — just one perfect stem of Eucalyptus Rhodanthe with silvery leaves and big bright red flowers — and we tied it with a fabric cut from her mother’s wedding dress.
