Oxley Hill Farm Bouquet Making Workshop

In early November, we travelled to Bowral to host a bouquet-making workshop at Oxley Hill Flower Farm — a beautiful spring day surrounded by fields of flowers. The workshop was all about sharing the BESS way of arranging — working with movement, texture, and shape — using ingredients freshly picked from the farm that morning: sweet pea, garden roses, artichoke, Paper Daisies ,and more. The flowers were chosen by Candi and her team, along with a few gathered by Bess before the class began.

Each bouquet became a reflection of the day, shaped by what was flowering on the farm and by each maker’s own creative touch. After the workshop, Candi gave us a lovely tour of the farm, sharing the flowers she grows with such care. It was such a special experience — connecting directly to where the flowers are grown and celebrating the beauty of working seasonally, and naturally.
