Feeling: For Kate and Lauchlan’s summer wedding at Palm Beach, the brief was bright, warm, and joyful — full of Australian native flowers and touches of seasonal garden blooms like hydrangea. Kate sent us photos of some of her favourite classic BESS bouquets, which became the inspiration for the day’s floral story.

For the ceremony, we created a bold, sculptural backdrop overflowing with colour — featuring extra–extra–large stems of pink flowering gum alongside other bright summer wildflowers. The tables at Dunes were filled with delicate, garden-style arrangements that celebrated the native flowers in peak season.

Favorite floral detail: The statement ceremony backdrop made from towering flowering gum stems — wild, textural, and full of movement — set the tone for the entire day. The bridesmaids carried en masse bouquets of flannel flowers, paper daisies, and mulla mulla, while Kate’s bouquet brought all of these elements together — a joyful mix of texture, colour, and native beauty that felt unmistakably BESS.
