Parkway Drive Sydney Opera House
Location: Sydney Opera house
Season: Winter- June
Overview:
Parkway Drive’s HOME performance was a landmark moment in Australian music history. For the first time, the Byron Bay metalcore band took the stage at the Sydney Opera House’s Concert Hall alongside a full symphonic orchestra for a one-night-only black-tie event, celebrating both their 20th anniversary and the venue’s 50th anniversary. The stage was transformed into a striking field of Australian wildflowers surrounding the band and orchestra. The performance was filmed and recorded for Parkway Drive’s forthcoming feature film and live album.
Flowers:
The floral design created a deep connection to the band’s concept of HOME — a tribute to their roots in Byron Bay, NSW — using exclusively Australian-grown winter wildflowers. The arrangements featured a vibrant mix of banksia, eucalyptus, gymea lily, paper daisy native grasses, and other seasonal Australian plants.
Colour Palette:
Bright, bold tones with a focus on vivid oranges and rich reds.
Favourite Floral Detail:
A dramatic floral pedestal for the drum kit, providing a striking focal point and blending seamlessly with the stage’s wildflower landscape.
