Filigree
Filigree continues the architectural reliefs and impressions collection developed for BESS Paddington in 2025, extending the series as an ongoing body of work shaped by the store's architectural features.
The motifs draw from decorative architectural patterns found throughout Paddington's historic interiors and terrace houses, including plaster cornices, cast-iron filigree, pressed-tin motifs and other domestic ornament. These details are translated through wheel-thrown jugs and vases, with pressed surfaces, evolving handles and small iterative shifts in form reflecting process and experimentation.
The series began with a pressed-tin floral tile collected during the renovation of the BESS shop at 27 William street and has expanded into a broader library of impressions drawn from Paddington's terrace houses. The collection also continues on the BRESS Brick, initiated in 2021, in response to the renovation of the terrace as well as local material histories and early brick making.

BESS Flower Delivery Guide
Same-Day Delivery
We offer same-day delivery across Sydney for orders placed before 12pm, Monday to Saturday. Orders placed after 12pm will be delivered the next business day.
Please note, we’re closed on Sundays and don’t offer delivery or pick-up on that day.

For unit or apartment deliveries, a recipient phone number is essential. It’s also helpful for all deliveries, in case the courier needs to get in touch.

If No One Is Home
If the recipient isn’t home, the courier will:
Leave the flowers safely at the door, if there’s a sheltered spot out of view or Leave them with a concierge or at the apartment door, if accessible Either way, we’ll let the recipient know where the flowers were left.
Who Delivers
All our flowers are delivered by trusted, flower-only couriers who handle every bouquet with care and attention.
Delivery Timing
Business deliveries are made between 9am and 5pm. For all other orders, we aim to deliver as early as possible, depending on the courier's run for the day.
If you have any timing requests, pop them in the notes section at checkout – our couriers usually need a 3-hour delivery window.
Redelivery
If there’s no safe place to leave the flowers, and we can’t reach the recipient or sender, the flowers will come back to the shop.
We’ll arrange redelivery once we’ve got more info – just note that additional fees may apply.
Order within the next 2 hours 35 minutes for delivery today. (orders before midday)
Orders placed after 12pm will arrive tomorrow or on your chosen delivery date. (orders after midday)
